Dashing Housewife Because Of The Brave Collection

Hello my lovely lacquer lovers. I am incredibly upset with myself right now. Pregnancy brain has made me completely forget about two posts that are SO overdue that I wouldn't be surprised if these two indie makers never asked me to swatch for them again :-(. One of those indie makers is Dashing Housewife Polish, and I'm going to be sharing five polishes from her "Because Of The Brave" collection today. This post should have been posted such a long time ago, and had I not been searching through my indie stash for colors for my Thanksgiving nails and saw these, I would probably still completely have forgotten these. So without ANY further delay.... let's get to the polish.... finally.

Fist up we have "Semper Fi" which is a clear base glitter topper with yellow and red glitters in all shapes and sizes. I love being able to use this polish over a few different colors, but for my swatch I used two coats of "Semper Fi" over three coats of Polish Addict Nail Color "Bright White". Formula on this was good. I didn't have to fish for any of the glitters and it all smoothes out nicely on the nail. Dry time was also great for this one.

(Indoor Light Box)

Next up is a polish very near to my heart, "Wild Blue Yonder", which is a blue jelly based polish with silver and holographic glitters in different shapes and sizes. This one is near to my heart because both my father and my husband were/are in the Air Force, and Air Force life is basically the only life I know. I also helped DreAnn name this polish, so there's that too lol. This polish is perfect for the Air Force. DreAnn nailed it with this one. Formula and dry time were great on this one as well. I used three coats with top coat for my picture.

(Indoor Light Box)

Next up is "Watchmen", which is a white crelly base with different shapes and sizes of red and blue glitters throughout. There is also a slight sparkle to this polish, which if you look closely at my swatch you can kind of see, but it was hard for me to capture. Formula on this one is perfect, as are all of the crellys that I own from Dashing Housewife Polish. No fishing for glitters, and plenty of glitter coverage. Dry time was also great on this one. I used three coats with top coat for my pictures.

(Indoor Light Box)

Next up is "Kiss Me Sailor", which is a light blue jelly base with blue holographic glitters, and various shapes and sizes of blue and yellow glitters, including yellow triangles. I really love the way this polish builds up, and how you can still see the glitters showing through each layer. Again, formula and dry time were great, with no glitter fishing required, except for some of the triangles. Turning your bottle upside down for 5-10 mins before application will help get them out much easier though. I used three coats with top coat for my picture.

(Indoor Light Box)

Lastly we have "Hooah", which is a black jelly base with gold holographic glitters, as well as other gold and yellow glitters in various shapes and sizes. I really love this one! It's perfect for me because I am a New Orleans Saints fan, and this polish is a beautiful polish for a Saints mani on gameday :-). Formula and dry time, as with the others, was perfect and no fishing was required for glitters. I used three coats with top coat for my picture.

(Indoor Light Box)

So what do you think of these military inspired polishes? Are you, or someone you know and love a part of any of these branches? I think these polishes represent each branch perfectly, but are still wonderful colors even without any affiliation with the military. I don't know just yet if DreAnn is planning on having any Black Friday sales, but if she does you need to be following her on instagram @dashing_housewifepolish or on Facebook here so that you don't miss out if she does. If you think you need any of these polishes, that sale (If she has it) will be the perfect time to get them. Even if she doesn't have a sale though, her polishes are priced so great that you should get them anyway. You can do that by visiting her shop here. I hope you enjoyed this post! Until next time, happy polishing!

The Girl Who Has Everything Duo by Sweet Heart Polish And Sea Lore Polish

Yay!! Today I have a post very dear to my heart for a couple reasons. One reason being that this duo is from two of my favorite Disney loving indie makers, Sweet Heart Polish and Sea Lore Polish!! I love both of these girls to death and I'm so happy they did a duo together! The second reason being that this duo, named "The Girl Who Has Everything" duo, is inspired by The Little Mermaid, and you KNOW how I love all things Little Mermaid! This duo releases tomorrow in both makers shops. So be sure you're following them both for updates! These polishes are just so gorgeous! Don't just take my word for it though, keep reading for the beautiful pics!!

First up we have the Sweet Heart Polish half of this duo called "Flippin Your Fins", which is an ocean blue holo jelly with a green to blue shift. I am in love with this! It reminds me of Ariel's tail, which is why I used it for her tail in my accent nail art. The gorgeous holo and shift in this polish will knock your socks, or your fins, off! The formula and dry time on this was great! I had no issues at all. I used three coats with top coat for my pictures.

(Indoor Light Box)

(Indoor Light Box Macro)

Next up is the Sea Lore Polish half of the duo named "Under The Sea", which is a cobalt blue jelly with green shimmer, holo sparkle, and various shapes and sizes of rainbow glitters. This is so pretty! I love the idea of the rainbow glitters in a blue jelly base because it reminds me of the beautiful corals and bright fish in the sea. The first thing I thought of when I saw it was the part on The Little Mermaid ride at Disney with all the sea creatures and Sebastian singing "Under The Sea". I need to get back to Disney soon... It's been almost a year! The formula and dry time on this beauty were great as well. No issues with this one either. I used three coats with top coat for my pictures.

(Indoor Light Box)

(Indoor Light Box Macro, more true to color)

(Indoor Light Box Macro, shows shimmer a bit better)

So what do you think of this duo? I am absolutely in love with it! I even tested staining with these since they're blue and I usually have issues with blues and staining, but these two passed the test. I did three coats with no base coat and left them on for three days. When I removed them there was no staining at all, which makes me love them even more! Both shops will be carrying these duos and releasing them tomorrow, November 8th at noon pacific time. You can find their shops through these links: Sweet Heart Polish Shop and Sea Lore Polish Shop. Only 15 sets in each shop will be available though, so make sure you follow them both on Instagram @sweet_heart_polish and @sealorepolish for more updates! You can also like their Facebook pages to keep in the loop as well, Sweet Heart Polish and Sea Lore. I hope you love these as much as I do, and I hope you get your hands on a set! You won't regret it! Especially if you're a Little Mermaid freak like me! :) Until next time, happy polishing!

Girly Bits What Really Happened In Vegas Collection

Well I'm back again! Today I have a beautiful holo polish post for you. I'm super excited to share with you the "What Really Happened In Vegas" collection from Girly Bits Cosmetics! I had the pleasure of meeting the creator of Girly Bits, Pam, at Cosmoprof this year here in Vegas, and I'm so glad that I did! She is so sweet, (and understanding, seeing how this post is long overdue). This whole collection was actually inspired by Pam's stay here in Vegas during Cosmoprof. So let's get right into the gorgeous polish that is Girly Bits, "What Really Happened In Vegas" collection.

First up is "Accidental PPV", which is a silver holo polish, with blue shimmer and a subtle flash of turquoise. This is absolutely GORGEOUS! Formula and dry time were perfect, I only needed two coats for full opacity. For my pictures I also added top coat. This baby shines and sparkles indoors and out. This on your nails would totally distract the person checking you out of your hotel, keeping your accidental PPV movie rental a secret! ;-)

(Indoor Light Box)

(Outdoor Sun Light)

Next up is "Too Hot For Pants", which is something I say quite often living here in Vegas during the summer. This beauty is a fuchsia jelly with red and fuchsia shimmer, as well as holo micro glitter. So very pretty! Formula and dry time were also great on this one. For my pictures I only used two coats plus top coat and it was perfect!

(Indoor Light Box)

(Outdoor Sun Light)

Next up we have "Selfie Bomb", which is a gold holo micro glitter shimmer combo, with lavender and pink micro glitter added in. I am in love with gold polishes lately, which is good because it's perfect for fall. This one is no exception. Formula and dry time were great here too. I used two coats plus top coat for my pictures. Looking again at these pictures I probably could have done one more coat for this one, but I still like the way it looks with two.

(Indoor Light Box)

(Outdoor Sun Light)

Next up is my favorite from this collection called "Protect Your Girly Bits", which is a purple holo polish with flashes of red micro glitter. This is yet another awesome polish to wear during Halloween/fall. Once the sunlight hits this baby, there's no denying that you will fall completely in love with it. I even have it on my toes right now because I wanted to keep it on forever lol. The formula and dry time, as with all the others, was perfect. I barely needed two coats with this beauty it seemed. I did two still because it does need a thin second coat.  I added top coat for my pictures below.

(Indoor Light Box)

(Outdoor Sun Light)

If the sun shot of that last one didn't knock you out, I have one more polish to share with you. Lastly we have "What Happens In Vegas... Ends Up On Facebook". This polish is not part of the "What Really Happened In Vegas" collection, and is unfortunately no longer available. It was part of a limited edition duo called "What Happens In Vegas...". This polish is described as "a dusty eggplant shimmer with holo qualities and blue/purple colour shifting iridescent micro glitters, pink micro glitters and red micro shimmer". I love this color, and I can definitely say that there is NOTHING anywhere close to it in my collection. Formula and dry time again were great. I used two coats with top coat for my pictures.

(Indoor Light Box)

(Outdoor Sun Light)

So what are your thoughts on the Girly Bits "What Really Happened In Vegas" collection? If you are looking to purchase any, or all of these you can visit the Girly Bits shop here where they are all still available. Be sure to follow @girlybitscosmetics on Instagram for swatches, news, and updates. If you don't have Instagram, you can always like them on Facebook here too. I hope you enjoyed today's post. Until next time, happy polishing!

Sweet Heart Polish & Polish TBH Halloween In The Park Duo

Hello my loves!! I know, I know.... "Where the hell have you been Brandy?!?!" Right? I have had some things going on lately in my life that I'm not ready to share just yet and I haven't felt 100%, or even 50% at times really. So I've been slacking on the polish/blogging front. I'm sorry! I hope today's post will have you forgive me though!

Today I am happy to be sharing with you a collaboration duo from two of my favorite indie makers, Sweet Heart Polish and Polish TBH! Cassandra and Christian came together to create the "Holiday in the Park" duo that is inspired by Halloween at the Disney parks! Disney? Polish? Brandy? What a perfect combination right? This collection releases today in both indie makers shops at 11am PST. So let's not waste anymore time and let's get to the polish!

First up is the creation from Sweet Heart Polish called "Mickey's Sweet Treat". This is a clear based glitter topper that includes a variety of glitters in white, orange and yellow. There are squares, triangles, mini stars, dots, hexes, and my favorite... Mickey glitters!! Come on, do a little dance with me. Mickey glitters are so cute and so fun. Cassandra has many different polishes that include Mickey glitters and I love them all so much! This polish is no different. Perfect candy corn colored mix that has a great formula with great dry time. Shown here is two dabbed coats, with placement of the Mickey glitters, over Julep "Morgan" with top coat. Now someone get me some candy corn... STAT!

(Indoor Light Box)

The second half of this duo is of course from Polish TBH called "Not So Scary Halloween". This is a black jelly polish with various glitters in purple, green and orange, and of course silver holo Mickey glitters! I love Christian's dark jelly polishes so much! I don't know how she has perfected the squishyness, but she has, and I am in love! The formula and dry time on this were great! In fact, I only used two generous coats and received full opacity! How bout them apples? Shown below is those two coats with placement of the Mickey glitters, with top coat added. Check out the squish!

(Indoor Light Box)

(Indoor Light Box)

So what do you think of this Disney Parks inspired duo? My final thoughts are that if you love Disney, and you love Halloween, then you must own these two polishes! They both have done such an awesome job with them and I am so happy to have them join my indie collection. If you would like to purchase the duo you can do so by visiting either brands shop at 11am PST today! Sweet Heart Polish's shop here, and Polish TBH's shop here. Make sure you're following both of them on Instagram for all news, updates, and more swatches! @sweet_heart_polish and @polishtbh I hope this post was one you enjoyed and that you forgive me for being MIA. I will have more posts soon, I promise! Thanks for reading, and until next time, happy polishing!

Glitter Daze Flowers Are A Girls Bestfriend And High Rollers Club

Hello my lovely polish lovers! Today's post is from Glitter Daze! This is my first polishes from this brand and I am very much in love already! I'm so glad I got the opportunity to try out this brand and to meet up with the maker of Glitter Daze, Sana two years in a row. I've got two polishes to share with you today, so let's get to it!

First up is "Flowers Are A Girls Best Friend" which is a light peach crelly polish with lots of different colors and shapes of glitters. I really love the variety of glitters that this polish has to offer. The flowers are great, a little big for my nail beds though, but I still think they add an element of fun to this polish. I had to get one on my nails for this photo though because flowers are in the name!! The formula and dry time on this were great! I used three coats with top coat for my pictures!

(Indoor Light Box)

(Indoor Light Box Macro)

The second polish I have to share with you is "High Rollers Club" which was created specifically for bloggers and also Daze of the Month subscribers. This polish is STUNNING! It is a gold foil polish with amazing holo! I do not have a gold holo in my collection like this and I am absolutely floored by it. In the shade it looks like just a regular gold foil polish, but when you get this baby out in the sun it shows you a gorgeous holo side that will leave any holo lover breathless! Formula and dry time were perfect on this polish! I used two coats with top coat for my pictures.

Sea Lore Polish Part Of Your World Collection Swatch & Review

Well, well. What do I have for you lovely polish lovers today you ask? Why, none other than some awesome new Little Mermaid inspired polishes from Sea Lore Polish! Jamie, the creator of Sea Lore, and I have bonded strongly over our love for Ariel as well as all things Disney and aquatic. Her polish "Ariel" was in fact what led me to her beautiful polishes in the first place and I haven't looked back since! So today I am sharing with you, the "Part Of Your World" collection that consists of four beautiful glitter topper polishes that you won't want to miss. So let's get to it!

First up is "Kind King Triton", which is a glitter topper in a clear base that consists of holo blue, gold, and white glitters, as well as a beautiful aqua shimmer! I absolutely LOVE this polish! It is perfect in every way, and that shimmer is to die for! I could not stop staring at my nails with this beauty on! I used two coats over Wet N Wild "Teal Slowly And See", with top coat for my pictures.

(Indoor Light Box)

(Indoor Light Box Macro)

Next up is everyone's favorite mermaid's best-friend, "Faithful Flounder". This polish is a clear based glitter topper that consists of light and dark blue glitters, as well as yellow glitters, all tied together with a gorgeous golden shimmer! Another stunner in this collection for sure! If you own Sea Lore "Ariel", she needs her guppy "Faithful Flounder", just sayin! I used two coats over white with top coat for my pictures!

(Indoor Light Box)

(Indoor Light Box Macro)

Next up is the fun and often disobedient daughter of Prince Eric and Ariel, "Merry Melody". This polish is so pretty and so unique and it just screams Melody to me! It is a clear based glitter topper with orange, peach, yellow and green glitters, that swim beautifully in a peach shimmer! The shimmer however was very uncooperative with my camera, but I tried my best! Just trust me when I say it's beautiful! I used two coats over China Glaze "Too Yacht To Handle" with top coat for my pictures.

(Indoor Light Box)

(Indoor Sunlight By A Window)

Lastly is the very handsome "Enchanted Eric", which is a clear base glitter topper with gold, navy, black and white glitters, as well as tiny white stars. The beautiful part of this polish is it's golden shimmer! I'm just as in love with this polish as I was with Prince Eric as a little girl. In case you didn't know, that's a lot! I used two coats with placement of the stars over a Sephora X red polish that was with the Ariel polish set they released last year. Love it!

(Indoor Light Box)

(Indoor Light Box Macro)

So what did you think of these beautiful polishes from Sea Lore Polish? Which one is your favorite? I think I love "Kind King Triton" and "Merry Melody" the most, but I really do love them all just about the same! The formulas and dry times for all of them were great, which only adds to my love of them! Make sure you follow @sealorepolish on Instagram, and like their Facebook page to keep up with all news and updates! If you see any of these polishes that you just can't live without you can find their shop here. I hope you enjoyed this post as much as I did! Until next time, happy polishing!

Sincerely Polish Bohemian Wonderlust & Glitzies Duo

Hello my beautiful polish lovers!! Today I have yet another Sincerely Polish post for you that features a couple new polishes from the Bohemian Wanderlust Collection and a duo that has been released before, but that will have a restock along with all the wonderful new releases today, August 8, 2014. You won't want to miss out on all of the new things that Karen is releasing today, trust me! So let's not delay any further and let's look at two new polishes from the Bohemian Wanderlust collection.

First up is "Far From Here", which "Is a vintage lavender holographic polish". This color is so unique! I have found myself obsessing so much over jellies lately and this polish is great! I love the holo, as we all probably know by now right? The formula and dry time on this were great! I used three coats plus top coat for my pictures below. My pinky does seem to be lighter, I must have had a lighter hand when applying on that finger and I just noticed it looking at the pics. Sorry!

(Indoor Light Box)

(Indoor Light Box Macro)

Next up is another polish from the Bohemian Wanderlust collection and that is "Care Free". "Care Free" is a shimmery, light teal polish with a fine holographic dust throughout. I'm in love with this one. The formula and dry time were great on this as well, and I may need to look into a full size bottle of this in the near future. I used two coats with top coat for my pictures below.

(Indoor Light Box)

(Indoor Light Box Macro)

Next up I have for you the Glitzies Duo! I was super excited to get a chance to swatch these two GORGEOUS polishes! The holo in these is amazeballs! First up is "Fields of Gold", which is a polish with lots and lots of micro gold holographic glitters. Not much else to say except, "Wowza!" Love it! Formula and dry time were excellent! I only needed two coats with top coat to acheive full holographic epicness!

(Indoor Light Box)

(Indoor Light Box Macro)

Lastly for today is the second half of the Glitzies Duo, "Sky with Diamonds", which is the twin to "Fields of Gold", but in silver holo goodness! Again, formula on this was perfectly perfect! Dry time was also great here! I only used two coats with top coat for my pictures as well.

(Indoor Light Box)

(Indoor Light Box Macro)

Which of these do you have your eye on now? If you love holo and lots of sparkle the Glitzies Duo is PERFECT! Sincerely Polish Arabian Nights Swatch & Review

Hello my beautiful readers! Today I have another post featuring a new collection from Sincerely Polish, Arabian Nights! These lovely polishes were all inspired by "beautiful Arabian weddings and the stories/folk tales from One Thousand and One Nights, which is also known as Arabian Nights." When I got these pretties in the mail I was so excited to get them all swatched. I ended up staying awake til almost 4am swatching them because I just needed to see them all on my nails right away!! So let's not delay any further, and let's get to the polish!!

First up is "Mystical Wonder", which is a dark blue shimmery polish with scattered holographic. This polish is absolutely stunning, and I am in love with the way it looks on my nails. The shimmer in this polish added with the scattered holo, blows my mind. If the color alone doesn't convince you, the formula and dry time on this were great! I have yet to find a Sincerely Polish color that doesn't have a great formula and color payoff. I used two perfect coats, with HK Girl by Glisten & Glow top coat for my pictures.

(Indoor Light Box)

(Indoor Light Box Macro)

Next up is "Sunset of Dreams", which is a gorgeous shimmery red orange polish. This baby is so pretty and bright! The formula was great on this one as well. Dry time gave me no issues either. I used three coats with HK Girl by Glisten & Glow top coat for my pictures.

(Indoor Light Box)

(Indoor Light Box Macro)

Next up is the beautiful "Arabian Princess", which is a magenta polish with blue shimmer and scattered holo dust. This one I believe is my favorite from the collection. One, because its pink, and two, because the way this polish sparkles and shines is mind blowing. It is absolutely stunning. Formula and dry time were great on this one as well. I used three coats with HK Girl by Glisten & Glow top coat for my pictures.

(Indoor Light Box)

(Indoor Light Box Macro, So Gorgeous!)

Next up is "Golden Palace", which is a gold polish with shimmer and scattered gold holo dust. I love the gold holo dust in this one. It really makes the color shine. Very beautiful. Formula and dry time on this were the same as the others, great! I used two coats with HK Girl by Glisten & Glow top coat for my pictures. I could have used three coats to hide a little more of the Visible Nail Line, but I like how this looks in two coats. Very delicate yet it still shines bright.

(Indoor Light Box)

(Indoor Light Box Macro)

Lastly for the Arabian Nights Collection, I have "Oasis Fantasy", which is a turquoise polish with gold holo glitters throughout. This polish is very unique to me. I don't own anything like it, and I tend to feel the need to own a bazillion turquoise/teal polishes. I love the way the gold adds a little more to this polish and I think its perfect. Formula and dry time were also great for this polish. I used three coats with HK Girl by Glisten & Glow top coat for my pictures.

(Indoor Light Box)

(Indoor Light Box Macro)

To sum things up, I love this collection. Sincerely Polish has such great formulas and such gorgeous colors and combinations that I have never been disappointed. This collection releases on August 8th 2014, when the shop re-opens. You can find a link to the shop here. Be sure to follow on Instagram @sincerelypolish and like the Sincerely Polish Facebook page to keep up with all news and updates. There are other new collections releasing on the 8th as well as a big one that you won't want to miss on the 22, "Once Upon A True Love's Kiss". If you'd like to see one of the other collections releasing I did a review for the Townsville Heroes Collection a couple of days ago that you can find here. I hope you enjoyed this post! Please follow my blog via GFC or subscribe via email over there on the right hand side of the page :-) I'd really appreciate it. Until next time, happy polishing!
